Once you are done reading Night, watch the first part of this fascinating Oprah interview with Elie Wiesel. While watching it, think about the ways that the Holocaust impacted Elie Wiesel's life and how you think he felt upon returning to Auschwitz.

Elie Wiesel is widely regarded as one of the most outspoken proponents for human rights. For his work in this field, he won a Nobel Peace Prize in 1986. Read his acceptance speech and write down what you feel was the major theme of his speech.

Holocaust
